about lynda carré

Lynda Carré is the Director and resident teacher at The Sanctuary at Two Rivers, a private eco-estate on 40 acres 100% Off-the-Grid near Cabuya, on the Nicoya Peninsula of Costa Rica. As perhaps one of the newest land masses on Planet Earth, this Costa Rican location magnifies the vital interplay of dynamic forces of Mother Nature's transformative evolution.

In alignment with the rhythms of nature, Lynda holds the ritual space for practitioners to reconnect with their essential truth. Her mind-body teachings draw from ancient and modern practices of Hatha and Tantric yoga, wisdom teachings from other ancient traditions and advances to knowledge in the study of Subtle Energies, HeartMath, Brain Science, and PsychoNeuroImmunology.

Lynda was first introduced to yoga movement teachings and philosophy in 1987 to correct an immune deficiency condition. From that profound reconnection with breath and spirit her mind/body/spirit recalibrated. Teaching since 2001, she has been inspiring students and sharing insights and wisdom at yoga/healing studios, resorts, retreats, and private homes internationally to individuals, families, classes, and special interest groups. Lynda has taught at nationally renowned studios such as Sacred Movement, Exhale Spas, MahaYoga, Equinox, and the Le Merigot Resort & Spa. She has earned the status of Kriyaban (advanced meditator) through Self-Realization Fellowship, is a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists, and an ACE (Agent of Conscious Change) through The Shift Network. Lynda is a certified essential oils practitioner through David Crow's Floracopeia Aromatherapy Certification.

Lynda also works as an Artist, Creative Director, and Communications/Creative Services Professional with award-winning writing and visual arts talent. She has been commissioned to design artwork used in CD/DVD packaging, websites, announcements, books, retreats, and trainings by Krishna Das, Erich Schiffmann, Steve Ross, Shaman's Dream, Micheline Berry, SoundsTrue, Shiva Rae, Dave Stringer, Max Strom, Ronald Alexander, Mark Whitwell, Alex Grey, and Kirsten Kairos. Lynda created packaging design for several personal-care product collections produced by Archipelago Botanicals. A health-related Multi-Cultural Marketing Campaign that she directed for a national medical group, received top awards from the Healthcare Public Relations and Marketing Association (HPRMA).

Balancing teaching with business acumen and creativity, Lynda brought a yogic approach "off the mat" into the corporate world as Creative Director and Director of Communications. She has over 18 career years of national-level experience working on behalf of for-profit and non-profit organizations with expertise in marketing communications for health and well-being, lifestyle, entertainment, and evolving consciousness. Her personal original artwork for the meditation-inspired series, "Behind Closed Eyes," and the large format healing art of "Five Elements" are ongoing passions. In 2011, Lynda cofounded ChickPeace to create Earth-friendly activity items that bring people together in conscious connection.
